SMPO began its development history in 1984 working for investors and joint venture partners focusing on U S Postal facilities. In the early 1990's, we diversified and began developing for the U S General Services Administration projects. In the winter of 2000, we started a relationship with 7-Eleven, Inc. to develop build-to-suit projects for their needs. Since the beginning of our firm, we have participated in more than 150 government leased facilities and commercial credit tenant leased facilities nationally.
As we have grown to encompass other projects, we have embraced a partnering concept that has proven very effective. Although we did not pioneer the teamwork approach, we strongly embrace the process while supervising each development. We recognize that the scope of each business venture requires careful analysis in order to structure the right team. Through team work and partnering SMPO can provide the appropriate strength and ability to develop any project no matter what size.
